The total investment is 6.75 billion yuan, and Guangxun Technology aims to develop and industrialize 800G, 1.6T, and 3.2T optical modules

On April 21st, it was learned from the Hubei Provincial Electronic Tendering and Bidding Trading Platform that the construction unit of the "High end Optoelectronics and Silicon Optical Chip Device Industrialization Project" is Wuhan Guangxun Technology Co., Ltd.

It is reported that the project aims to establish a research and development and industrial base for high-end optoelectronic silicon optical chip devices, and to develop high-speed optical modules for A | intelligent computing centers and computing power networks. Based on high-speed VCSEL silicon optical integrated chips and EML technology solutions, 800G, 1.6T, and 3.2T rate optical modules will be developed and industrialized; Construct new office buildings, R&D centers, production plants, and related supporting facilities, and invest 18000 sets of various R&D and production equipment and instruments.

It is understood that Guangxun Technology is a global pioneer in the research and industrialization of optoelectronic devices and modules, with strategic R&D and mass production capabilities for optoelectronic chips, devices, modules, and subsystem products. At the end of last year, Guangxun Technology's high-end optoelectronic device industry base successfully achieved production. The base has built an industry-leading fully automated assembly line for producing 400G and 800G high-speed optical modules for AI data centers.

With the accelerated development of the artificial intelligence industry, the construction of global data centers has driven the sustained and stable growth of demand for high-speed optical device products. This new project mainly focuses on the research and industrialization of 800G, 1.6T, and 3.2T rate optical modules, which are also important development directions for the next 3-5 years.
